Important Information
We are upgrading the water meters throughout our system. This process will take two to three years to complete.
Some customers will need a new water meter & reader box, and some customers will only need the reader box.
The new box is tan colored, which will be placed on the outside of your residence and will cover the black touchpad you currently have on your home or business now.
The black touchpads/tan reader boxes are property of the Freeland Municipal Authority and should not be removed.
If they are removed, there will be a replacement fee.
LEAD & COPPER INVENTORY
Authority Employees will be starting the Lead & Copper Inventory, which is required by the Environmental Protection Agency.
The Authority needs to check your water meter and service line.

SEWER/WATER LABORER
The Authority has a current full-time position for the Wastewater Plant in Freeland. If interested in the position, please call 570-636-1733.
METER READER POSITION
This position is part-time and approximately 30 to 35 hours per month. Must be willing to walk the routes to read all of the water meters in Freeland Borough, Upper Lehigh and Highland.
